Hunting Maine's Big Game

The Hunting
Trophy-sized Black Bear live around the lake in abundance. Bears are attracted by the beech-nuts along the ridges. Guided hunts from stands start during the last week of August. Hunting with dogs is available after the middle of September. Exclusive established sites located on state preserve land, paper company land, and on over 10,000 acres of exclusive privately-owned leased land improve chances for harvesting a trophy or your first animal. Our sites are designed and maintained with the bow hunter in mind.
The Hunting

Fall grouse, goose, and duck hunting on private lands while accompanied by our guides ensures a memorable and action packed adventure. The November deer hunt in northern Maine is truly an adventure for the devoted hunter. The deer are large and each year trophies are taken in this area.

Good hunting is found on both sides of the lake for the six miles to Eagle Lake Village, on 23,000 acres of reserve land. The Square Lake thoroughfare region has always been a popular spot with hunters and with good reason.
